Essential manufactures and sells the Essential Phone which has become one of the notable players in the Android smartphone industry.

Summary

Essential is a company, based in Palo Alto, that manufactures and markets the Essential Phone. Folio3 fully integrated their Shopify based web store with their NetSuite ERP, with their NetSuite Shopify Integration Connector enabling seamless data flow between the two systems.

The Challenge

Using two disparate systems for front-end and operations, Essential had been facing the challenge of keeping the data between their Shopify web store and NetSuite ERP synced. As keeping the systems required manual efforts and therefore utilized additional time, this had created a pain point for the company.

  • Filter Synced Data and Data Sync Log based on Certain Parameters, from the Connector Dashboard.

In addition to the standard vanilla features, Essential also required some customization to cater to their specific business needs:

  • The ability to synchronize matrix items in addition to simple inventory items, from NetSuite to Shopify.
  • The ability to synchronize promotions and coupon codes between NetSuite and Shopify.
  • The ability to synchronize discount codes from Shopify to NetSuite.
  • Synchronize tax information between both systems so that same tax is applied on a Sales Order both in Shopify as well as in NetSuite.

Result
