Summary

Cooperative Computing partnered with Folio3 to implement NetSuite SuiteSuccess Services Standard Edition. The goal was to integrate financial reporting, revenue management, procurement, project management, and sales functions using NetSuite ERP.

The Challenge

Cooperative Computing faced operational challenges as the company used multiple applications to perform day-to-day business tasks. CC partnered with Folio3 for NetSuite SuiteSuccess implementation so it could discontinue using multiple applications and use NetSuite as a single source of information.

Solution

Set up general accounting, COA, departments, locations, subsidiary management, journal entries, printing and issuing checks, fiscal close, bank deposit and feed, advanced financials, revenue management, multi-book, and standard financial reports.
Set up basic item master for inventory and non-inventory items.
Set up project management, project profitability, and project-based multiple invoicing.
Recording of deferred revenue and its arrangement and subsequent schedule of conversion in actual revenue.
Set up consolidated financial statements, along with segmentation-wise financial reporting.
Set up vendor masters, purchase orders, item receipts, bills, payments, credits, prepayments, standard purchasing reports, and employee master.
Configure customer master, sales orders, invoices, payments, credit memos, project record setup, time tracking, task management, billing, and reporting.
Configuration of NetSuite’s financial statements and reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, ledgers, trial balances, transaction details, purchase reports, vendor/payables, and customer/receivables with respect to their custom segments and requirements.

Result

After successful NetSuite implementation, Cooperative Computing could manage its operations on a single platform rather than multiple applications. The implementation helped CC manage their projects and project-related activities. Netsuite Financial Reporting assisted CC in consolidation, multi currency handling, and segmentation-wise reporting. The Advance Revenue Management reduced the workload of manual scheduling in Excel.
