CP Lighting wanted to integrate their BigCommerce eCommerce platform with their NetSuite ERP using Folio3’s NetSuite BigCommerce Connector. This integration was done to automate the synchronization of sales orders, inventory, customer data, and shipping information between BigCommerce and NetSuite. In addition to the standard integration, the project included several customizations including sync of customer group-specific pricing and managing backorders, so the company could better handle unique sales processes.

  • Export Inventory Quantity from NetSuite to BigCommerce.
  • Export Sales Price from NetSuite to BigCommerce.
  • Refund sync from NetSuite to BigCommerce.
  • Import Individual Sales Orders from the Connector Dashboard.
  • Search for Imported BigCommerce Sales Orders in NetSuite.
  • Search for Imported BigCommerce Customer records in NetSuite.
  • Sync Sales Orders On Demand from BigCommerce to NetSuite, from the Connector Dashboard.

Customizations Implemented

To meet CP Lighting’s additional requirements, Folio3 implemented the following customizations:

  • Import BigCommerce customers as individual customers in NetSuite without sales orders.
  • Export multiple item price levels from NetSuite to BigCommerce as Customer Groups.
  • Export customer group-specific pricing from NetSuite to BigCommerce.
  • Export item categories from NetSuite to BigCommerce, including Category Name, Description, and single image.
  • Trigger payment capture in BigCommerce from NetSuite via syncing cash sale records.
  • Trigger complete and partial refunds on BigCommerce from NetSuite via syncing cash refund records.
  • Support for out-of-stock (backordered) items in the sales order import flow.
  • Sync order updates for ‘pending fulfillment’ orders from BigCommerce into NetSuite.
  • Sync kit/package type items from NetSuite to BigCommerce as simple products.
  • Use NetSuite Internal ID as the primary identifier for item data syncing.
  • Implement a Suitelet to provide available quantity/stock level to BigCommerce via API.
  • Multi-currency support for importing BigCommerce orders into NetSuite.
  • Support for custom records and text custom fields in item data export.
  • Export a ‘Customer Has Credit Terms’ flag from NetSuite to BigCommerce.
  • Sync/export up to four PDF attachments associated with the NetSuite item record to BigCommerce.
  • Create and export brands from NetSuite to BigCommerce and associate brand_id with items.
