Lead To Quote Process In NetSuite

Of the many facets of lead management, one of the most important is a quality NetSuite lead to quote process. It means how you are moving your potential customers from an interest phase to the proposal stage.

NetSuite’s lead-to-quote process is designed to be intuitive and efficient, ensuring your sales team will move leads through the sales funnel quickly.

Lead Qualification

It all starts with the qualification of a lead based on certain criteria by sales representatives, such as BANT: budget, authority, need, and timing.

NetSuite’s CRM module allows for easy tracking and updating of lead information so that your team can always be current with the latest data. The lead is changed to an opportunity within the system after being qualified.

Opportunity Creation

Opportunities in NetSuite are robust records of a possible sale, capturing details like the products or services in which the prospect is interested, its estimated value, and when the sale will close to the system.

The system allows sales teams to list a number of contacts against one opportunity, ensuring that all decision-makers are included.

Quote Generation

The next step will be to generate a quote. NetSuite’s quoting functionality is also very tightly integrated with the inventory and pricing modules for quotes.

It ensures accuracy, product availability, and pricing that reflect the current situation and that sales teams can generate quotes right from the opportunity record.

This automatically brings relevant information into the quote to minimize errors and reduce time spent on admin.

Quote Review, Editing, and Approval

A generated quote may be reviewed, edited, and approved within the system.

NetSuite approval workflows ensure that any quote is in compliance with your company’s pricing and discounting policies before it’s delivered to a customer.

This will not only help in remaining profitable but also avoid those errors which can make customers unhappy.
