Resolving Common Error when adding Matrix Items to NetSuite Store

Hi Guys,

In this post I’ll show you how to resolve a common error you may have come across when adding new matrix items to your NetSuite web store. If you’ve tried adding matrix items to NetSuite web store you may have come across the the following error.

‘We do not sell items [item name] with that particular combination of options. Please select a different combination of options’.

If you see this error, it could be because you have not setup the sourcing and filtering of the transaction item option correctly for each of the custom lists associated with the matrix item, in NetSuite. To ensure that you have done so, please perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to Setup > Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Transaction Item Options > Edit the Transaction Item option for the Matrix Item.

2. Click on the Sourcing & Filtering tab.

3. In the Source List field, select ‘Item’.

4. In the Source From field, select your custom item field that is used to set up the matrix item option.

5. Then click ‘Save’.

And that’s it. If your matrix item has been properly setup in NetSuite, it should now display correctly in your web store and should become available for purchase.
